Art is War.

We live in a world where more than often imagery is used as a weapon of mass destruction. People are constantly bombarded with the ideals and notions that cater to the interest of a few while exploiting the masses. Prussian style public schools offer free education with the objective to keep the creative mind suppressed. Most imagery that is readily available today is designed to tell people what to think. Global domination, destruction, and death are disguised, justified, and sugar coated by corporate/government funded propaganda machines...misinforming, miseducation, and misguiding through their use of billboards, ads, and commercials. Their goal is to program people and promote the interest of corrupt politicians and the corporate elite. Evey Hammond said, "artist use lies to tell the truth while politicians use them to cover up the truth."

I make art to combat the propaganda of the media and inform the miseducated. My objective when I create is to engage the viewer to think and utilize their natural innate thought process. To break free from the corruption plaguing this society, but at the same time, it's an expression of love that stems from a place for both care and concern for the human race.

Depending on the objective and message I want to convey, the medium, may vary. Every medium has both advantages and disadvantages. Pixels on screen are not as vivid as paint on a canvas. Even the best lens lack the ability to capture the detail of the human eye.

When two or more mediums collide or combine something special can happen, like Voltron. Like a smile, a well executed image or design has the power to transcend the boundaries of verbal communication and break down barriers on a subconscious level. My creative expression in influenced by the diverse and rebellious state of nature of Southern California's counter cultures. It's a product of my environment, like the Fauves of the past, it's wild and untamable.
